Working for the Community

The Lafayette County Social Services Committee was formed to create collaboration throughout Lafayette County by pooling resources and working together to effect change.

Goals:
a. Information, resources and activities sharing (regular meetings; attendance; share info)
b. Problem solving to address community goals and issues (Take action when needed)
c. Develop new resources for the county (Create new partnerships)

The Social Services Committee is in charge of the Project Connect events that are held throughout the year.  The committee meets the first Wednesday of each month at 9 am at the P&H Event Center located at 1111 Main Street in Lexington, MO.  There is a different guest speaker each month and each organization attending has the opportunity to update the group on what is happening at their agency.  The organization/agency must be a member of the Health Care Collaboration of Rural Missouri General Membership to attend the meeting.
