Healthy Smiles for Life

HCC Network, a 501(c) (3) nonprofit, has developed a mobile dental program called Healthy Smiles for Life. The program provides onsite oral health services to children living in HCC’s rural service area. Healthy Smiles for Life is funded through a Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) grant that allows businesses to donate and receive a 70 percent tax credit.

The mobile dental unit is equipped with two operatories and staffed by a dentist, dental hygienist and dental assistant. The program is an extension of HCC’s federally qualified health centers (FQHCs) – clinics in Buckner, Carrollton, Concordia, Lexington, and Waverly.

Routine, preventive, and restorative services offered on the mobile dental unit include:

  • Oral health screenings.
  • Exams.
  • X-rays.
  • Fillings.
  • Extractions.
  • Root canals.

HCC coordinates with individuals and organizations in need of services to bring health care to more people throughout rural Missouri. Those interested in scheduling visits from the mobile dental, medical, or behavioral health units are able to request services by contacting Outreach Coordinator Rhiannon Lovercamp at 660.243.4045.

HCC is always looking to expand mobile unit services to more areas. Contact HCC to learn more.

Our community-based programs include case management, counseling and assessment, health education, transportation, translation services, enrollment assistance, health and social care advocacy initiatives, access to primary care, and health IT.
HCC and its Community Health Centers serve all patients regardless of ability to pay. Discounts for essential services are offered based on family size and income. Schedule a visit: 660.259.2440.
After more than a decade and nearly 50 new employees later, it’s safe to say that the Lexington, MO-based HCC Network is a major player in Lafayette County and in rural health care in this region.
The focus of HCC is to develop and implement programs that are responsive to documented health needs of county residents, with specific health status indicators as benchmarks of progress.
