HCC NETWORK HOSTS RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY AND TOUR OF NEW WAREHOUSE
Lexington, Mo, September 17, 2024 – HCC Network is pleased to announce the opening of its new warehouse space on Friday, October 4 at 813 S. Business Highway 13, Lexington, Mo. Originally opened in 2016, the 7,500 square foot space has served to recirculate usable items such as personal hygiene products, cleaning supplies, blankets and mattresses back into the community. The new space boasts office space, a board meeting room and revamped warehouse with new flooring, organization systems and sorting equipment. The ribbon cutting will take place 7:30am with tours and refreshments provided immediately following.
“Our goal with the warehouse remodel was to expand services offered to the community and implement streamlined processes for the distribution of donated items, “says Chief Operations Officer Amanda Arnold. “We recognize the social needs of the community and are making every effort to meet those needs, either with goods and services we provide or with referrals to other agencies.”
CEO Toniann Richard explains, “HCC is committed to looking at the whole-person in the services and access offerings we provide. Like all rural areas, Lafayette County and the surrounding area residents experience physical, emotional and socioeconomic needs, some of which they are not able to meet themselves. It is our desire to help bridge the gap with our primary care, dental, behavioral health and community outreach services. The HCC Warehouse renovation is one part of our 5-year plan to expand community offerings that support our continuum of care model.”
HCC identifies essential hygiene or household goods needs during our patient and client registration process. During meetings with our Community Health Workers or Peer Support Specialists, they can offer warehouse items to help fill those needs. If HCC Network does not have the available item(s), our Community Health Workers and Peer Support Specialists will help connect them to other nearby organizations for assistance.
In the past, HCC accepted donations of gently used items, however to accommodate the growing needs of our organization, we will only be accepting online contributions and community drive items.
HCC Network cultivates partnerships and delivers quality health care to strengthen rural communities. HCC has six clinic locations and received its FTCA Public Health Service Health Center designation in 2021.
