Dental Assistant Training Program
What is HCC’s Dental Assistant Training Program?
This program is open to individuals looking to begin a career in the dental field. We offer in-classroom and hands-on clinic training through our network of clinics.
We are currently enrolling for our Fall 2026 Cohort! Traditionally the commitment is 4 hours per day, 2 days per week and the Fall class schedule will be determined based on enrollees and instructor’s needs. Training will occur throughout Lafayette County and nearby Missouri communities
Please email taylor.duke@hccnetwork.org with any questions.
When Should I Apply?
We encourage students to apply as early as possible. Applications for the Fall 2026 Cohorts are now open! Our Dental Assistant Training Program starts every year in August.

Who Can Apply and What Does the Program Look Like?
Anyone is eligible to apply if they are over 18 years old. We accept high school graduates as well as non-traditional students who are looking for a career change. The program is two week days per week for nine months and prepares the students for certification as a dental assistant. Didactic or classroom training is the first half of the program with clinicals following. At the end of the program, students will test for the basic skills exam. Our current pass rate is 100% with our graduates often receiving job offers before they graduate from our program.
Investment
$1500 cost per students, paid over the first six months. This includes textbooks, training and testing fees. We collect a $500 deposit upon enrollment then the remaining balance in thirds.
Commitment to attend scheduled classes (approximately 8 hours per week) for the duration of the program. Schedule may vary based on cohort needs.
