Marc Archer

Marc Archer, FNP-C, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. His inspiration grew from his maternal grandmother and aunt, both of whom were in the medical field. In 2010, he began work as a certified nursing assistant (CNA) on the Alzheimer’s unit at John Knox Village in Lee’s Summit. He received his bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) in 2014 from Graceland University. Archer started off as a registered nurse (RN) and later decided to pursue an advanced degree. “I realized while I was working as a nurse that I wanted to do more. I wanted to be more involved with patient care,” Archer said. He earned his master’s degree in nursing (MSN) in 2017 from Graceland University. Originally from Liberty, he now lives in Ray County with his fiancé and daughter. In his free time, he enjoys spending time on the farm with his family.

Debbra Bersano

Debbra Bersano

Debbra Bersano is a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM). She has lived in Lexington since 1990. Bersano had been a Labor and Delivery Nurse for several years before returning to school at the University of MO-Columbia, where she graduated with a Master of Science in Nursing specializing as a Certified Nurse Midwife. Bersano has been certified by the American College of Nurse Midwifes since 1999. She has delivered more than 2,000 babies since 2001 at Truman Medical Center – Lakewood and is currently delivering at Truman Medical Center – Lakewood. Among the services Bersano provides are prenatal care, normal deliveries, and routine gynecology exams. She also works closely with several OB physicians for high-risk pregnancies and gynecology consultants and surgeries.

Dr. Preston Howerton

Dr. Preston Howerton

Dr. Howerton received his medical degree from the University of Health Sciences – College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, Missouri after graduating from the University of Missouri-Kansas City with a B.S. in Biology.   He completed his internal medicine internship at the Medical Center of Independence.  He further completed post-graduate training at the United States Air Force Aerospace Medicine training facility and was an active duty flight surgeon.  Since completing his active duty time with the Air Force, Dr. Howerton has worked as a primary care physician and an emergency room physician since 2007.  He is married to his wife, Kerri, a chiropractic and functional medicine physician.  They have three beautiful children who are actively involved in various sports and activities.

Dr. Drew Hutinger received his undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Missouri-Columbia before obtaining his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. Dr. Hutinger became interested in dentistry when he received Invisalign treatment in high school which had a positive impact on his life. He hopes to have that same impact on the patients he sees. Dr. Hutinger is married to his high school sweetheart, Jenny, and they have a new baby boy, Graham. They also have a crazy hound, Copper, enjoy outside activities and attending sporting events.

Mischelle Kemp

Mischelle Kemp is a third-generation nurse.  Her great-grandmother was a diploma nurse in 1933, and her mother was an LPN for 32 years. She graduated from Blue Springs High School in 1993. Kemp obtained her first bachelor’s degree from Ottawa University, where she was the first softball pitcher in school history. She moved to Hannibal in 1996. Kemp was an ER tech for four years, working nights while going to nursing school at Blessing-Reiman College of Nursing in Quincy, Illinois. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2000.  She was an ER/trauma nurse for nine years in the St. Louis area, where she obtained her Master of Science in Nursing from UMSL in 2009. Kemp has been a nurse practitioner for 12 years. She married her high school sweetheart and they have been together for 31 years and have three children.

Dr. Marcia Kent

Dr. Marcia Kent is the mother of three elementary boys and triple board-certified Child/Adolescent, Adult and Forensic Psychiatrist. She comes from Michigan, where she grew up on a grain and fruit farm. There, her parents taught her to work hard and care for others, whenever possible, as an active part of their faith. Dr. Kent turned those lessons to studying medicine and psychiatry at Michigan State University where she found her passion in child psychiatry.  She pursued fellowships in Child/Adolescent and Forensic Psychiatry at the University of Washington in Seattle, and ran her own practice for 12 years until she returned to be near her aging mother in Michigan. Dr. Kent has broad work experience in many settings including residential treatment, private practice, juvenile justice and community mental health and most recently at Michigan State University’s student health center.  She is excited to join the team to improve the health and well being of the children/adolescents at HCC’s Live Well Centers.  In this capacity, Dr. Kent will focus all of her energy on patient care, but off the clock, will spend time with family doing things like biking, sports activities, boating and family events.

Julie O’Donnell

Dr. Julie O’Donnell

Julie O’Donnell, PhD, is a licensed psychologist who has been with Live Well Community Health Center in Lexington since September 2020.  She graduated with her Bachelor of Arts degree from Missouri Western State University and earned a master’s and doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Texas Woman’s University in 2016. Dr. O’Donnell provides therapy sessions for adults and adolescents as well as psychological assessments. She grew up in rural Iowa and after raising her children, returned to college to earn a degree in psychology in order to provide mental health services to underserved and rural communities. Before her move to Missouri, she provided services at a community mental health center in Kansas.

Dr. Riggs’ passion for dentistry began in high school when she first shadowed a dentist in her hometown of Gardner, KS and has only grown since. Rori Schreiman is a family nurse practitioner and holds a Doctorate in Nursing Practice. She began her career as a FNP in 2012, and has worked at the Live Well-Concordia location since 2013. She was a dental assistant for 15 years before pursuing a degree in dental hygiene. Michelle graduated from UMKC in 2018 with a Master’s in Social Work. She is licensed to practice in both Missouri and Kansas. She has a heart for survivors and people dealing with emotional pain, which is why she has spent years working in mental health, education and child welfare settings. Although she enjoys working with individuals of all ages, she especially enjoys working with children and adolescents. Michelle’s professional interests include evidence-based therapeutic models, prevention programs, strengthening families, meditation, mindfulness and yoga. “I believe in a whole-person approach to therapy and practice from that foundation.”

Angela Woods

Angela Woods

Angie Woods is a board-certified Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (MHNP). She has a great passion for the mental well-being of our underserved rural communities. Woods earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology in 2005 from Missouri Valley College and started her mental health career as a house parent for at-risk teens in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She later completed a bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) in 2014 from Missouri Valley College and worked on the Behavioral Health Unit at Fitzgibbon Hospital. Woods quickly realized she wanted to serve patients in a greater capacity. In 2018, she completed her MHNP from Walden University. Today, she provides care at the Live Well Community Health Center – Concordia.

Fawn Zimmer

Fawn Zimmer graduated with her nursing degree in 2011 and began working as an RN in multiple intensive care units and emergency departments across the U.S. She graduated with her master’s degree from Graceland University in 2015. She has worked as a Family Nurse Practitioner in both the emergency department and family practice settings, and taught nurse practitioner students in the Graduate setting. Zimmer was previously employed with HCC at the Waverly clinic in 2016 prior to moving out of state with her husband, an active-duty pilot in the U.S. Air Force. They have recently moved back to Missouri and she has rejoined Live Well Community Center – Concordia. Zimmer and her husband Drew have a two-year-old son and recently added a baby girl to their family. Zimmer said she is excited to be back in Missouri seeing patients of all ages in a rural practice setting.

Dana Zinn

Dana Zinn has worked in the nursing field for 20 years, mostly in the ER setting. She graduated with a master’s in 2016 from Walden University. Zinn has a deep passion for caring for individuals with developmental disabilities. Zinn also teaches part time at Graceland University for their Nurse Practitioner program. She enjoys helping other future nurse practitioners learn and grasp the provider role. She has been married for 14 years to her husband Corey. Zinn also has a huge heart for furry creatures. Her favorite pastime is spending time at the lake with family and friends.
