March Archer

Marc Archer

Marc Archer, FNP-C, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. His inspiration grew from his maternal grandmother and aunt, both of whom were in the medical field. In 2010, he began work as a certified nursing assistant (CNA) on the Alzheimer’s unit at John Knox Village in Lee’s Summit. He received his bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) in 2014 from Graceland University. Archer started off as a registered nurse (RN) and later decided to pursue an advanced degree. “I realized while I was working as a nurse that I wanted to do more. I wanted to be more involved with patient care,” Archer said. He earned his master’s degree in nursing (MSN) in 2017 from Graceland University. Originally from Liberty, he now lives in Ray County with his fiancé and daughter. In his free time, he enjoys spending time on the farm with his family.

Dr. Karl Grant

Dr. Grant has been involved in medicine since age 13. He worked at KUMC ER for 18 years before going to medical school. He graduated from KCUMB in 1993 and completed his family practice residency in 1996. Grant is member of AAFP and MAOPS, both professional societies. Also a cattle rustler, he has offered custom hay baling since 1978. For fun, Grant has been a ski bum for 43 years. He likes motorcycles and hard work.

Amber Hendrix

Amber has a background in intensive care and emergency services, with a specialty as a family nurse practitioner. She has a strong desire to help rural families gain access to high quality health care. Originally from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, she and her husband enjoy raising their two sons and two dogs. Amber enjoys college football, family time, being a sports mom and vacations on the beach. “I am excited about the impact we will have on rural healthcare.”

Dr. Preston Howerton

Dr. Preston Howerton

Dr. Howerton received his medical degree from the University of Health Sciences – College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, Missouri after graduating from the University of Missouri-Kansas City with a B.S. in Biology.   He completed his internal medicine internship at the Medical Center of Independence.  He further completed post-graduate training at the United States Air Force Aerospace Medicine training facility and was an active duty flight surgeon.  Since completing his active duty time with the Air Force, Dr. Howerton has worked as a primary care physician and an emergency room physician since 2007.  He is married to his wife, Kerri, a chiropractic and functional medicine physician.  They have three beautiful children who are actively involved in various sports and activities.

Dr. Marcia Kent

Dr. Marcia Kent

Dr. Marcia Kent is the mother of three elementary boys and triple board-certified Child/Adolescent, Adult and Forensic Psychiatrist. She comes from Michigan, where she grew up on a grain and fruit farm. There, her parents taught her to work hard and care for others, whenever possible, as an active part of their faith. Dr. Kent turned those lessons to studying medicine and psychiatry at Michigan State University where she found her passion in child psychiatry.  She pursued fellowships in Child/Adolescent and Forensic Psychiatry at the University of Washington in Seattle, and ran her own practice for 12 years until she returned to be near her aging mother in Michigan. Dr. Kent has broad work experience in many settings including residential treatment, private practice, juvenile justice and community mental health and most recently at Michigan State University’s student health center.  She is excited to join the team to improve the health and well being of the children/adolescents at HCC’s Live Well Centers.  In this capacity, Dr. Kent will focus all of her energy on patient care, but off the clock, will spend time with family doing things like biking, sports activities, boating and family events.

Betsy MacLaughlin

Betsy MacLaughlin

Betsy MacLaughlin attended the University of Missouri – Columbia where she received both an undergraduate degree and a master’s degree in social work.  She has been a licensed clinical social worker since 2002. Betsy has worked in a variety of settings, including schools, social service agencies, mental health and hospitals.  As a social worker, she operates from a strengths-based approach, assuming all people have strengths and resources which they can utilize to make positive change. She looks forward to helping individuals and families in rural communities gain access to quality behavioral health care. Betsy, husband Brad, and their three children reside in Odessa, Mo.

Dr. Geoff Peterson was born and raised in Montana.  He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Saint Mary in Leavenworth, KS, where he met his wife Becky. He attended dental school at Oregon Health and Sciences University in Portland, OR. Geoff has two kids, Quinn and Evelyn. Hannah Peterson

Hannah is a social worker with a special interest in individual and family therapy. She graduated with a Bachelors of Social Work from the University of Central Missouri in 2012, then earned a Master’s of Social Work from UMKC in 2014. She specializes in grief and loss counseling, crisis intervention, trauma informed practice, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy and brief solution focused therapy. Hannah values cultural competency, social justice, individual expression, importance of human relationships and having a sense of humor. Hannah is a wife, mother, daughter, sister and cancer survivor. She believes in helping others discover positive solutions in their own lives by using empathy, non-judgment, unconditional positive regard and absolute respect.

Rori Schreiman is a family nurse practitioner and holds a Doctorate in Nursing Practice. She began her career as a FNP in 2012, and has worked at the Live Well-Concordia location since 2013. Rori sees patients of all ages one day a week. She also works full-time at Fitzgibbon Memorial Hospital in the Emergency Department. Rori and her husband Scott live in Higginsville with their two boys, Reece and Rhett. They keep very busy with their sporting and school activities.

Dr. Katie Snodgrass received her undergraduate degree in Biology from University of Missouri-Columbia before obtaining her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. Dr. Snodgrass started in dentistry by working in her father’s dental office as a dental assistant throughout high school and college. Cynthia Diane Stock has been a part of Buckner’s Community Health Center since August 2018. She performs woman’s health care needs (except for pregnancy) with a specialty in BHRT (Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy). Cynthia also performs DOT physicals, acute and chronic conditions for all ages. Born in the bootheel of Missouri, she grew up in Odessa, Mo. Cynthia is the mother of two grown sons, the oldest living in Sibley, Mo. and the youngest living in Odessa, Mo. She also has five grandchildren. Cynthia has served in the nursing field since 2005. Her passion is family medicine. Cynthia enjoys working in the rural settings because she is a self-proclaimed small-town girl.

Kyra Tracy is a registered dental hygienist at Live Well – Waverly. Kyra, who has worked with Live Well since October 2013, has 23 years of experience in dentistry. She was a dental assistant for 15 years before pursuing a degree in dental hygiene. Kyra learned early in her career that there are few things more gratifying then helping people overcome their dental anxiety and fears. She also works hard to educate her patients on the importance of good oral health. Kyra lives in Carrollton with her husband Eric. A mother of three, Luke, Isaac and Kinley, she spends her spare time traveling with her family, and playing with her dogs.

Michelle Wimsatt

Michelle graduated from UMKC in 2018 with a Master’s in Social Work. She is licensed to practice in both Missouri and Kansas. She has a heart for survivors and people dealing with emotional pain, which is why she has spent years working in mental health, education and child welfare settings. Although she enjoys working with individuals of all ages, she especially enjoys working with children and adolescents. Michelle’s professional interests include evidence-based therapeutic models, prevention programs, strengthening families, meditation, mindfulness and yoga. “I believe in a whole-person approach to therapy and practice from that foundation.”
