Angie Lybarger, APMHNP-BC, Advanced Practice Mental Health Nurse Practitioner – Board Certified, grew up in Marshall, Missouri and attended Missouri Valley College where she attained her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She graduated with her master’s degree from Walden University in 2018. She has worked at Fitzgibbon Hospital in the field of mental health since 2013 and provided outpatient mental health services at HHC Network Clinic in Concordia, Missouri from 2021 to 2023. She returned full time to the Concordia HHC Network Clinic in February 2025.
Lybarger has stayed close to her hometown for the duration of her career, finding purpose in providing mental health services in the rural area in which she grew up. “I have always been drawn to helping others. Unfortunately, there is a stigma against seeking services for mental health problems,” said Lybarger. “I would like to see our community beat the stigma and take care of our mental health. Depression and anxiety are common, but few reach out for help. I don’t see searching for and receiving services as a weakness. I see it as an amazing strength. Seeking services should not be scary or avoided. I believe our mental health is just as important as our physical health. I like to think of my mental health in terms of, ‘If I don’t take care of myself, how can I care for others?’ ”
In her spare time, Angie enjoys spending time with family, including her four children, two step-children, and her husband whom she married in 2024.
