HCC Network's

Food Is Medicine

Good health starts with access to nourishing food. HCC Network’s Food is Medicine program connects patients with nutritious foods, practical cooking ideas, and support to make healthy eating more manageable. By working with local partners, we help address food insecurity and support the well-being of our rural communities. Contact our Community Health Workers to learn more about the program and available resources.

“Hi, my name is Gena and I’m a Community Health Worker at HCC Network. I work with patients to connect them to helpful resources that support their overall health – specifically nutrition, food access, and healthy lifestyle support. Our Food Is Medicine program is designed to help people use food as a tool to improve their health. We focus on conditions like diabetes and weight management, but the program is also available to anyone who is interested in a healthier lifestyle. If you participate in this program, I will work with you to create simple, budget friendly recipes, nutrition tips, and groceries. The goal is to make healthy eating easier and more realistic for everyday life.”
